Love My Curls, Frizz & Flyaways shampoo bar

Our Love My Curls, Frizz & Flyaways shampoo bar was made in direct response to friends asking for it. The bars hold organic marshmallow root in a cold distilled-water tea and local springtime-harvested horsetail plant to support you in loving the hair that you have. We added a little lemongrass essential oil and a hint of chamomile, so they also smell wonderful. What's not to love? Store them well and they'll last considerably longer than a bottle of shampoo. These bars can also be used as body soap.

We started making shampoo bars because we were trying to do our part in reducing our use of plastic, and we started selling them in 2019 because neighbors on Whidbey started asking for them. I

To use: Some people rub the shampoo bar between their hands until they get enough lather, set the bar down, and then shampoo into wet hair like normal. Most of us rub the bar directly onto our wet hair until we get enough lather, then shampoo like normal. So simple! Goodbye plastic!

Insider travel tip: Cut a piece of the bar off or take the whole bar with you when you travel--no liquid means easier traveling via airplane, train, bus, boat, kayak, bike, or feet.  

Storage and life of the bar: Store the bar where it can dry quickly and store as far away from the faucet/downpour of water as you can. 

Size: Roughly 4-ounce bars. These are made by hand in small batches and hand cut by cool women, not machines. We keep anything cut smaller than 3.9 ounces for ourselves and our families and to give as gifts to neighbors in need. We're not machines, people, nor do we want to be. :-) 

Ingredients: Wild horsetail (grown here at Ritual Mischief where no poison spraying happens) infused into olive oil, plus organic coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, organic marshmallow root distilled water tea, sodium hydroxide, sodium lactate, tiny pinch of yellow and kaolin sea clay to color the bar (not hair), lemongrass and chamomile essential oils.
