Whidbey Blister Balm salve

This simple balm was inspired by our hardworking small-farm farmer friends here on Whidbey and was created for friction blisters--overworked hands, fingers, feet, and toes that cry "Enough!" This simple salve holds plantain (Plantago lanceolata) and comfrey from local farms and gardens and a bit of local beeswax too.

WARNING: Make sure the blister area is clean before you use this salve. Comfrey tends to help skin heal so fast that it can trap dirt & other crud beneath new skin.

To use: Rinse blister area with water until clean, then pat gently with a clean cloth until dry. With a clean finger, apply a small amount of balm to the blister area. Cover with a clean bandage. Repeat once, if needed. See your medical professional if the blister worsens or doesn't heal. Use this salve within 1 year of purchase.

Ingredients: Whidbey-local comfrey and plantain (Plantago lanceolata) leaves infused in olive oil, local beeswax.
