Douglas Fir & Lemons soap

Whidbey windfall Douglas fir branches & left-coast lemons--plus a bit of gentle, silky, exfoliating sea clay--come together in this soap to help soothe and re-energize tired body, skin, and mind while you shower or bathe.

Although we mostly work with local Whidbey herbs, plants, flowers, and windfall tree branches, during the grayest winter months here friends began asking for citrus body soap. We then heard that a couple of people were using our citrus dish soap bars as body soap bars too (!), so we decided that we really needed a citrus body soap! This is our first adventure in pairing lemons with our beloved windfall Douglas Fir branches (which smell both woodsy and a bit citrus-y/orangey themselves) to create a body soap. Storage and life of the bar: To extend the life of the bar, store it where it can dry quickly after use and where it doesn't get regular spray from the faucet. Setting it on a soap dish or folded wash cloth is a great idea.

Not recommended as a face soap or a kid's soap: Lemons and eyeballs don't make great friends, and sore eyes are definitely not a goal of this body-energizing and mind-soothing soap.

Size: The bars are roughly 4 ounces. They're made by hand in small batches and hand cut by cool women, not machines. This means most 4 ounce bars are 4 ounces but they can range from 3.8 to 4.5 ounces. We're not machines, people, nor do we want to be. :-) We keep anything smaller than that for ourselves and our families, to give as gifts to neighbors in need and to those amazing humans who help make homes for the unhomed on Whidbey, and to give away as surprises and free samples for people who buy our products. 

Ingredients: Windfall Douglas fir branches infused into organic extra virgin olive oil, plus coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, sodium lactate, sea clay, organic lemon peel, lemon and fir essential oils.

Packaging: For shipping, soaps are wrapped in a small piece of food-safe compostable (or recyclable) paper with a paper label to ensure safe handling. If you would prefer no packaging at all, just put that in the Comments field when you order, and you'll get them bare naked! If you live off island and we ship them to you, they will still need to show up in a box. We're magic, but not that magic. Yet. :-)
