Camping & Gardening bar soap
$5.00 $9.00We made these for camping and we've also started using them for cleaning up our hands after gardening. The lemon balm and kale were grown here outside the Ritual Mischief studio, and the windfall Douglas fir branches and western red cedar branches were gathered on Whidbey after windstorms on walks in the woods. When camping, we use this one bar as both soap and shampoo bar. It makes us fit right in and smell like we belong to the woods! (We do belong to the woods!) When we’re at home, we use this bar as hand soap and we use a separate shampoo bar because our shampoo bars are optimally formulated for hair and so worth it (when you don’t have to hike with the extra weight on your back). 😊
Storage and life of the bar: To extend the life of the bar, store it where it can dry quickly after use and where it doesn't get regular water spray. Setting it on a folded washcloth or beautiful soap rest is a great idea.
Size: The bars are roughly 4 ounces. They're made by hand in small batches and hand cut by cool women, not machines. This means most 4-ounce bars are 4 ounces but they can range from 3.9 to 4.5 ounces. We're not machines, people, nor do we want to be. :-) We keep anything smaller than that for ourselves and our families, to give as gifts to neighbors in need and to those amazing humans who help make homes for the unhomed on Whidbey, and to give away as surprises and free samples for people who buy our products.
Ingredients: Grown-on-Whidbey lemon balm and windfall Douglas fir and western red cedar branches infused into organic extra virgin olive oil, plus coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, sodium lactate, grown-on-Whidbey kale, lemon juice, and cedar, fir, & patchouli essential oils.
Packaging: See the Packaging page for details. If you would prefer no packaging at all, just put that in the Comments field when you order, and you'll receive them bare naked!
