Whidbey Meadow's Kiss lip balm

by Ritual Mischief

$8.00

Originally made for a friend’s wise and wonderful 6-year-old who said "You need to make lip balms!" these were created to be safe enough for children and adults. This nourishing, softening lip balm is a celebration of local plants, meadows, and trees that care deeply about human health and wellbeing. Made with local ethically foraged (by us) dandelion flowers, wild rose petals, and windfall cottonwood buds plus our own lavender and roses infused into olive oil. No essential oils--just the subtle natural scent of the flowers and buds infused into organic olive oil, so the balm is gentle, nourishing, comforting. And nothing else.

And, as with all new products, you should still start slow and make sure you/your family’s bodies like the plants in this balm. Discontinue use if your body isn’t happy. There is one drop of castor oil per tin of lip balm to make it silky smooth and even more softening. In much higher doses, castor oil can be used a laxative, so please don’t sit down and eat dozens of tins of lip balm. Come to think of it, don’t eat even one tin of lip balm. The balm is for your lips not your belly. Please share this tip with children if the lip balm is shared with children.

Ingredients: Ethically wild-gathered local dandelion flowers and wild roses, our own rose petals and buds and lavender, and ethically wild-gathered local cottonwood buds (from friends' trees and trusted, well-loved land) infused into olive oil, plus Shea butter, beeswax, one drop of castor oil per tin, and a pinch of beet root powder (added to make the balm subtly pink in the tin—not enough added to make the balm color or stain lips pink).

Packaging: Lip balm is in a one-ounce reusable, food grade, round tin with a twist-off top. See the Packaging page on this website for details.
